Migrations are free, we do them out of hours, and we test everything before your domain points anywhere new.
What we need from you
- Access to your current host. Control panel login, or SFTP details
plus database credentials. Read-only is fine.
- The domain name, and where it's registered.
- Where your email currently lives — same host as the site, or a
separate provider.
- A quiet window, if your site takes orders. We'll work around it.
If you'd rather not hand over passwords, most control panels can generate a limited-access or temporary account. That works just as well.
How it runs
1. We copy everything. Files, databases, mail if it's with the same host. Your live site is untouched — this is a read.
2. We stand it up on a staging URL. You get a temporary address to check the site on our servers before anything changes publicly.
3. You check it. Click through the important pages. Test a form. If it's a shop, place a test order. Tell us about anything that looks wrong.
4. We lower the DNS TTL. A day ahead of the switch, so the actual cutover propagates in minutes rather than hours.
5. We switch. Usually late evening. We do a final sync of anything that changed since the copy, then point DNS at us.
6. We watch it. For 24 hours after the switch, so anything that surfaces gets fixed straight away.
Will the site go down?
No. The old site keeps serving until DNS moves, and the new one is already live when it does. During propagation some visitors hit the old server and some hit the new one — both work.
The one thing to be careful about is a database that changes during the window: new orders or new comments could land on the old server and be missed. That's why we do the final sync at cutover, and why we schedule shops for the quietest hour.

Mailbox migrations run alongside and depend mostly on how much mail there is.
What we can't move
- Sites on fully proprietary builders (Wix, Squarespace, Shopify) —
there's no export to move. We can rebuild, but that's a website project, not a migration.
- Software that needs a server configuration we don't offer on shared
hosting. We'll tell you before starting, not halfway through.
